Minutes of Bathley Parish Council Meeting 8th September 2021 @ 8pm

Approval Of Minutes:
The minutes of the meeting of 7th July 2021 were approved. Proposed MR, seconded HH.

Planning Applications: None

Roads:  BC is still in contact with Mr Duckworth at the County Council regarding Vicarage Lane flooding.  BC is pushing for the dyke to be cleared and this will be discussed at the next meeting if there are no improvements.

The road sign at Foxholes Farm has been re-instated.

MR suggested we find out if we can have a sign opposite Oak Farm at the end of the village to alert vehicles to the hidden entrance or to alert vehicles to slow down due to hidden entrance.  SG to contact Via

The concrete post opposite Elm Farm has been damaged.  SG to contact relevant authority to see what can be done

The footpath opposite Mill House Stables is very overgrown. SG to contact Via to rectify

Financial Matters:  Clerk reported that McAfee help services used for PC problems.

The forms for the Virgin online account were signed and approved.  SG to organise online account.  Proposed BC seconded DH

A cheque was raised for £18.50 for new printer cartridge. Approved DH, seconded HH

General Correspondence:  Emailed to Cllrs and noted.  No matters arising. Information will be put on notice board.

AOB:  Councillors were sad to hear that Ralph Waterfield passed away peacefully on the 5th September 2021 aged 92 years.  BPC would like to commemorate his memory and send their sincere condolences to his family.  Ralph was a member of the Parish Council for a number of years and also Chair of the Parish Council and BPC would like to recognize the input he had into the village.  He will always be remembered.

The relocation of the dog bin was discussed and it was agreed that a new bin should be relocated on the footpath between the Crown Inn car park and the footpath by Smalleys Garage near the stile.  SG to inform NSDC of new bin location and add to collection itinerary.

Long time service awards for the Parish Council were discussed SG will look into applying for them.  Cllr Cross and Cllr Pulford are nominated.

Carol Singing was discussed – BPC will wait to see what the current Covid regulations/requirements are in force nearer the time so will discuss at the next meeting.
